Bracket ("the app", "we") is published by Lumenly. This privacy policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. It is written in plain English by design.
Bracket asks for the "While Using" location permission so it can show you nearby courts on the map and so the ladder can find players within your radius. Your precise coordinates never leave your device unless you choose to open a ladder ping; in that case the ping's coarse centre (the court you tapped, or your suburb) is shared with players who match your filter, never your precise GPS fix.
Match scores and your rating live in SwiftData on your device. If you log in with Sign in with Apple, an opaque match history is replicated to Apple's iCloud private database under your control; we never see it.
If you submit "Open now / Closed / Busy" or a photo for a court, that report is sent to our backend so other players can see it. The report is associated with an opaque user id, never your name or email. You can delete a report at any time from the court detail screen.
If you choose to sign in, Apple shares only an opaque user identifier (and optionally an email-relay address). We do not receive your real Apple ID or your email address. You can use the free finder without signing in.
The rally counter uses the microphone to detect ball-impact sounds. Audio is processed live on-device and never recorded, stored, transmitted, or sent off the phone. Disable the rally counter at any time from the courtside screen.
If you record a serve clip, the video stays on your device. Pose extraction happens locally using Apple's Vision framework. The clip is added to your Photo Library only if you tap Save.
If you ask the Bracket Coach a tactical question, your prompt is sent to our backend, which forwards it to a third-party large-language-model provider with no personally identifying information attached. The response is returned to your device and not retained on our side.
If you buy Bracket Pro (monthly subscription or lifetime), the transaction is processed by Apple's StoreKit. We receive an anonymous receipt — never your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID. Receipts are verified server-side to gate Pro features.
If the app crashes, Apple may collect anonymous crash logs to send to us. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy and you control it in iOS Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements.
Bracket uses Cloudflare for backend hosting and a third-party large-language-model provider for the Bracket Coach feature. Prompts are forwarded with no personally identifying information attached and are not retained by us.
Bracket is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children under 13.
If you are in the EU/UK, Brazil, India, or California: under GDPR / LGPD / DPDP / CCPA, you have the right to know what data we hold about you and to request deletion. To request deletion of any court reports or ladder pings tied to your opaque user id, email mitsi@uptrail.ai. Uninstalling Bracket removes all local data on your device.
Material changes will be announced in the app's "What's New" section before they take effect.
